Little Seed Farm is now Leaping Bunny Approved! Here's a little bit about the Leaping Bunny Certification from their website:
The Cruelty Free International Leaping Bunny certification is the global gold standard for cosmetics, personal care and household products It is the only internationally recognised certification that requires a supplier monitoring system to be implemented by the company, supply chain checking for animal testing right down to ingredient manufacturer level, adherence to a fixed cut-off date policy and acceptance of ongoing independent audits to ensure compliance with all of these aspects.
Why shop cruelty free?
Did you know that 80% of the world still allows animals to be used in cruel tests for cosmetics? And almost all countries still allow animal testing for cleaning products. Countless rabbits, guinea pigs, hamsters, mice and rats suffer and die worldwide in routine animal tests for the ingredients that go into deodorant, lipstick and washing up liquid.
But it doesn’t have to be this way; animal tests are being replaced with quicker, cheaper and more reliable non-animal methods. And companies can use ingredients which are already known to be safe.
While we've always maintained cruelty-free standards and never tested on animals, we are so excited to be able to tout this 3rd party audit of our supply chain that ensures that none of the ingredients we use to create our products are ever tested on animals.
In the near future we will include the Leaping Bunny logo on our packaging and website to better communicate our commitment to animal welfare. That said, as much as we're excited to add that adorable bunny to our boxes, we will not be tossing all of our current packaging just to update it with this certification seal! Rest assured, our sustainability practices are the bedrock of Little Seed and we will wait to add the Leaping Bunny until the next reprint of boxes and jars is needed.
