A gentle yet potent balm to protect and heal Baby's most delicate and sensitive skin. Made with nourishing and soothing organic oils and butters and infused with healing herbs, calendula, plantain, & comfrey.
Safe for use with cloth diapers.
Apply nightly to prevent diaper rash or as needed to heal irritated skin anywhere on Baby. More than just a diaper cream - booty balm is also wonderful to use to prevent chapped cheeks and lips in the winter time and even to soothe and heal small scrapes & scratches.
When I was preparing for the birth of our first baby, I planned on using coconut oil as a diaper balm. I had read about it on various blogs and it sounded like it would work like a charm. Well - less than a week after baby George burst onto the scene it became apparent that straight-up coconut oil wasn't going to cut it. Don't get me wrong - coconut oil is an AMAZING oil with its natural antifungal and antibacterial properties, BUT - to really protect and heal, you need something thicker that can create a barrier between wetness and your baby's ultra sensitive skin.
Enter Booty Balm!
Booty Balm's organic coconut oil base is herbally infused with healing plantain leaves, calendula flowers, and comfrey leaves (the same skin healing herbs we use in our much loved Lip Salves) to harness the additional healing properties of plants without having to overdo it with the essential oils (something you'll often see in natural diaper balms). We also add organic and raw/unrefined shea butter to help form a protective breathable barrier on your baby's skin. It also soothes, moisturizes, and decreases inflammation. Finally, just a few drops of organic lavender and tea tree oils are added for their antibacterial properties, but never enough to irritate skin (not even enough to allow you to detect their smell really!).
Ingredients: virgin organic coconut oil (infused with organic calendula, plantain, and comfrey leaf), organic shea butter, beeswax, organic tea tree essential oil, organic lavender essential oil.
